⓵เกี่ยวกับแอลกอฮอล์ น้ำหอมใช้แอลกอฮอล์เป็นตัวนำ หลังจากการขนส่งระยะไกล กลิ่นแอลกอฮอล์ที่ระเหยได้จะยังคงอยู่แม้จะปิดฝาขวดแล้ว หากใช้ทันทีอาจจะมีกลิ่นแอลกอฮอล์ที่รุนแรงกว่า ฉีดน้ำหอมแล้วรอ 1 นาที รอใหแอลกอฮอล์ระเหยก่อนจึงได้กลิ่น
⓶เกี่ยวกับกลิ่น
น้ำหอมจะมีกลิ่นที่แตกต่างกันบนผิวของแต่ละคน แม้จะเป็นกลิ่นเดียวกัน แต่อาจจะแตกต่างกันเนื่องจากอุณหภูมิและความเป็นกรด-ด่างของผิว

ตำแหน่งที่ฉีดน้ำหอมจะมีผลต่อความคงทน กลิ่นจะกระจายและอยู่ได้นานขึ้นหากฉีดบริเวณข้อมือ ด้านหลังหู และลำคอ
